Yesterday was my Costa Rican Mom´s birthday. Adam, DeAnna, and I got her this adorable apron that is red and white checked and says "La cocina de Mamá". She LOVED it! Her apron that she had been wearing was horrible! It was a very cheap one from Scott paper towels. It was time she had a new one. Then we took her and Antonio to dinner at Pizza Hut. For those of you who haven´t traveled much outside of the US...American chain restaurants aren´t the same as they are in the states. This Pizza Hut was really nice! It´s more of a going out place and not a high school/college hang out spot. We had fun! They came and sang her happy birthday (or I should say feliz cumpliaños) and made her wear this ridiculous cheese hat thing. It was quite funny. We had a great time. Doris is such a great person and I´ve loved being a part of her family while I´m so far from my own family. I didn´t take a picture of her in her apron...but here are a couple of us at Pizza Hut.

Kristy it looks like you are having so much fun down there!! I am so happy for you.
So this story reminded me of that one time you, me, jenny, and Janessa walked for hours to find a pizza hut in the middle of Paris. Remember that?? And then remember how they screwed up our order and we got TWO pizzas!! Oh it was such a good and needed meal. Pizza Hut = love when you are away from the US. :)
I love your blog Kristy! Looks like you're having a great time! Can't wait for more entries...
