As I may have mentioned, we've been a little frustrated with my project since there haven't been many kids to work with. This week we tried something new and have been going at a different time. It also changed because the kids started school this week (it's been their summer break) so they now are serving lunch at 2:30 pm. It makes it nice because we don't show up until they serve lunch and then we're with the kids after they eat. We thought it would make it so more kids would stay, but it really hasn't. The soup kitchen kicks us out right after lunch so they can clean up and we play with the kids outside. But by the time we want to start working with the kids inside (on art projects or teaching them English), most of the kids have gone home and we only have a handful of kids to work with. And the bullies haven't let up in the least bit lately. So needless to say, we're still a little frustrated. But I'm still loving the kids and having fun getting to know them all better. We're having Valentine's fun this week in celebration of Sunday so we've been having different activities around a Valentine's theme. Tomorrow we're planning a fiesta - hopefully it goes well.
A couple of the girls have taken to calling me Mom. So I'm proud to announce that I am now a mother of 4! There names are Melony, Maria, Johanna, and Helen. They are such cute girls and I would be glad to be there mom! It makes my day when they walk in and come directly for me to give me a big hug and call out "mama! mama!" Now I just need a husband...
Here are some more pics of the kids I love.

This is awesome Kristy! I hope things will pick up with the kids, but I hope you're having the time of your life!
The kids all love you so much you can tell! What an amazing experience!
